CAT 2016 – Common Admission Test


Common Admission Test (commonly known as CAT) is an entrance test for admissions to premier B-schools in India. It is conducted by IIMs.

CAT Eligibility Criteria 2016

Basic eligibility criteria for appearing in CAT 2016, the Candidates must be graduates from a recognized university or institute with minimum 50% marks or in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. The final year graduation students were also eligible to apply provided they must complete the degree and obtain the cutoff percentage within the stipulated time frame.There is no age limit for candidates as per the CAT 2016 Eligibility Criteria.

How to Apply

  • Firstly Candidate have to Register online at the CAT website with a registration fee of Rs. 1700 (General/NC-OBC) and Rs. 850 (SC/ST/PWD-DA).
  • Payment of registration fee can be made through online mode only including credit card, debit card or through net banking.
  • Candidate should submit his/her original mark sheets during the interview time so as to prove his/her eligibility criteria.
  • If candidate get selected for a programme, he/she should must submit his/her original degree certificate and mark sheets along with their photocopies for verification at the time of joining the programme.
