How to Prepare for Bank PO Exams in India

Every year in India, thousands of candidates apply for Probationary Officers job vacancies but due to tough competition very few of them manage to get the job. Applicants need to be aware of certain things before they apply for the PO Job which can help them to clear the exam. These are some of the points that the candidates should be aware before applying for the Probationary Officers Jobs.

1) Educational Qualification: Banks hire candidates with at least a degree in any discipline from a recognized University OR Any equivalent qualification recognized by Central Government. Applicants with knowledge of computers (Proficient in Ms Office, Basic Applications, Internet Usage etc.) along with a certification stand a better change to get the job.

2) Age Criteria - Most of the banks recruit candidates with minimum 21 years & maximum 30 years. Though they do provide relaxation of age but that is only limited to Backward Classes Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. Ex-servicemen and Commissioned Officers who have rendered at least 5 years military service also get some relaxation in age. Also Persons with Disability like Visually impaired or Physically handicapped do get relaxation in age.

3) Selection Procedure - Selection is done on the basis of performance in Written Test & Interview. Written Test comprises of Objective Test, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and Banking Knowledge. Candidates who manage to clear the written test are further shortlisted for Interview or group discussion as per the decision of the bank. Few Banks do provide Pre-Examination Training to a limited number of candidates.

4) How to Apply - Most of the times candidates are required to apply Online through Banks website. Candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID as most of the Bank communication like sending call letters for written test, Interview Call etc. are sent through the registered email ID. Candidates need to fill in the right information and avoid unethical practices. Canvassing in any form will lead to a disqualification from the exam and should be avoided.

5) Payment of Fee - Applicants need to fill in the Fee Payment Voucher in a clear and legible handwriting in Block Letters available on the bank website and pay the fee in the mentioned Bank Account in favor of the bank jobs project. After the payment of fees the candidates need to carefully fill in the necessary details from the Fee Payment Voucher in the Online Application Form in the appropriate manner. Candidates should take care while filling self name and father/ husband name. It should be spell correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/ mark sheets.
